A. Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) involves a combination of visual checks and specialist testing to make sure your appliances and equipment are safe and fit for purpose.

A. Yes. We are now offering EVC infrastructure for homes and business. For more information, give us a call.

A. The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) offers grants for domestic and commercial EVC installation, which you might be eligible for.

A. Yes. We offer a wide range of safe and weatherproof outdoor electrics, including lighting, sockets and more.

A. All prices are +VAT and we charge an hourly rate of £45.

For smaller jobs, reactive maintenance and call outs, there’s a fee of £75 for the 1st hour. These jobs might consist of a replacement light, damaged socket, a fault with a consumer unit/wiring or replacing an appliance.

Some customers have asked, why do you charge this? and the simple answer is running costs! We service Exeter and the towns and villages in the surrounding area. Exeter has a reputation for traffic and this price enables us to cover overheads, vehicle running costs, and continue to provide a high level of service and continue trading for new and existing customers.

A. We charge £75 for 10 items. The electrical appliances are registered on a pdf certificate, which will be forwarded on completion. We charge an additional £3 for any extra items tested.

KS Electrical Solutions charge £200 for an EICR on a consumer unit with up to 10 circuits. If your installation has more than 10 circuits, we charge an additional £20 per circuit.

A. A general rewire would consist of renewing all power (sockets) and lighting, and replacing the consumer unit within a property. The cost of this would start at £2500. Depending on customer requirements and the number of rooms, this price will vary, so it’s best to have a detailed quotation and meet in person prior to having works started.

A. Consumer unit upgrades are a good start if your concerned about the electrical safety of your home. Every home has electronics, such as laptops, AI equipment, smart phones, tablets and other appliances. When you think of all the electronics within a home and the cost of replacing them, it makes sense to have an spd in a new consumer unit.

Consumer unit upgrades start at £550.
KS Electrical Solutions only install fully RCBO boards. We no longer install the more economical split load version.

A. EV chargers vary in cost. Our installations start at £950 – supply and fit.
When considering an EV charging point, it’s worth noting depending on the location of your consumer unit or DB, will determine the length of the supply cable and labour involved. Contact us for a free quotation.
